Postal Medals
So much of our chess is played via webserver that the traditional postal format can be forgotten.
The BCCA still organises postal chess, however, and the postal medal tournaments have now started. More details and the cross tables can be seen by clicking on the links below:

Ratings Update
Preparations for the publication of the first BCCA rating list are proceeding at pace with the objective being to publish the first list in early May.
Games completed in the William Mason Championship, Candidates and reserves and Medal Tournaments have been submitted and we expect the games in the Handicap and Trio events to be completed shortly. Further details on the calculation of BCCA ratings can be found here: BCCA Ratings
Separately, we are working at increasing the number of BCCA events which are rated by the ICCF. Further information on that will be provided shortly.
Hall of Fame
In order to celebrate the illustrious history and hopefully bright future of the BCCA through a recognition and historical and contemporary luminaries, we have created a Hall of Fame.
The first inductee is William Mason and you can read about his contribution to the BCCA here: Hall of Fame.
We intend to add further entries. Watch this space for these.
Stan Grayland – EFCC Life Patron
Congratulations are in order for our president, Stan Grayland, who was unanimously elected to become a Life Patron of the EFCC at their Executive Committee last Saturday, in recognition of his significant contribution to the EFCC over many years.
Stan has also made an immense contribution to the BCCA for many years (indeed, decades) and is fully deserving of the patronage bestowed on him.
A full list of EFCC patrons can be found here: EFCC Patrons.
