The 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the BCCA will take place at 2pm, October 15, at the Carrs Lane Church Centre, Birmingham. This meeting is open to any current member of the BCCA. If you wish to see how the Association works, or have your say on current matters, you are very welcome to attend. Two 2016 Medal Tournaments decided
Two of the Medal tournaments that started in February 2016 have just finished. John Brasier awarded BCCA Master Title
Russell Sherwood wins Handicap & earns BCCA Candidate Master Title
Russell Sherwood has won the Handicap tournament for 2015/6 with an undefeated record of 9 wins & 2 draws. 2nd place was Stan Cranmer & 3rd place was Raymond Burridge.
The CM points earned by Russell have also taken him past the 20 point barrier & earbned him the BCCA Candidate Master (CM) Tiitle. Well played Russell!
BCCA members awarded ICCF Titles
Today is Day 1 of the annual ICCF Congress which is taking place this year in Bremen, Germany. Three of our members have been awarded Titles: Russell Sherood, Helen Sherwood & Tony Balshaw – see photo of their Certificates below:-

In addition, BCCA member Andrew Dearnley has been awarded a Bertl von Massow Silver Medal for 10 years continuous service to ICCF. A photo can be seen of the EFCC website here: http://www.iccfengland.org/
Two more New BCCA Candidate Masters!
Ian Mason & Dawn Williamson have both been awarded the BCCA Candidate Master (CM) Title having achieved the necessary 20 CM points. It has been a good week for both players- Ian has won the Silver Medal tournament as well, and Dawn has also been awarded the ICCF LIM (Ladies International Master) Title. Congratulations to both players!
Ian Mason wins the 2015 Silver Medal tournament
The only remaining Medal tournament from 2015 (Silver Medal No.2) has been won by Ian Mason – congratulations to Ian! It was a very close at the end with Ian narrowly pushing Dawn Williamson to 2nd place on S-B tie-break. In 3rd place was Alex Relyea.

New BCCA Candidate Master: Gary Maguire
Gary Maguire is BCCA’s latest Candidate Master. His superb victory in the 2015/6 British Championship Candidates tournament took him over the required 20 point mark. His other points came from a combination of Class 2 & Class 1 Trio’s. Well played Gary!

Latest BCCA Master – Stan Grayland!
Current BCCA President Stan Grayland has been awarded the BCCA Master (BM) Title having accumulated 20 BM points: well played Stan! The points were awarded from winning the BCCA Championship in 2014/5; coming joint 2nd in the 2015/6 Championship, and winning the 2012 Postal Gold tournament.
