Webserver Trio’s – September Update

Ron Cooper has won Class 1 No.110 Trio with a score of 3.5/4 and returns to Class 2, Ron is also awarded a further 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points bringing his total to 13 – Well Played.

Ben Wood and Richard Akrill have tied for first place in Class 2 Trio No.51 with three points each. Both players are promoted to Class 3 and will receive 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points each.

Both Alan Marshall and Ray Cox have finished with 3 points apiece in Class 1 Trio No.108, Alan however allowed one of his games to default on time which means the result is awarded to Ray who receives 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points and returns to Class 2. Alan has apologised for his error which was unintentional.

Congratulations to Dennis Broadway on winning this close fought Class 3 Trio No.25 by ½ point from David Cook. Dennis secures the 3 sought after BCCA Master Points bringing his total to 6.

Congratulations to William Lindberg on winning Class 1 Trio No.120 with a perfect score of 4/4. William receives 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points and is promoted to class 2.

Very well played to John Brasier in Class 3 Trio No.26 – John is the 1st Player to win a Class 3 Trio with a perfect score of 4/4, he has been awarded 3 sought after BCCA Master Points bringing his total to 18 and needs just 2 more for the BCCA Master Title.

Congratulations to Andrew Dearnley on winning Class 3 Trio No.18 with a score of 3/4 – well played. Andrew has been awarded 3 coveted BCCA Master Points

Well played to Ron Cooper on winning Class 1 Trio No.114 with a score of 3.5/4, Ron returns to Class 2 and is awarded a further 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points.

Roger Pearce and Ron Cooper are joint winners of Class 1 Trio No.112 and are awarded 1 BCCA Candidate Master Point each. Roger has already been promoted to Class 2 and a new Class 2 Trio will start for Ron as soon as other Players are available. Well played both.

Congratulations to Malcolm Winter on winning Class 1 Trio No.118 with a score of 3.5/4. Malcolm returns to Class 2 and is awarded a further 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points bringing his total to 5 – well played.

Congratulations to Philip Tolhurst who has won Class 3 Trio No.17 with a score of 2.5/4 and is awarded 3 BCCA Master Points bringing his total to 4. It was a close fought match with Gary Maguire and Colin Beveridge – well played all.

New Chess Show on TV

Malcolm Winter has sent us some details of a new TV Show he is producing called ‘CheckMate.’ It is based on the old BBC Master Game and the presenter is ‘Anna Richardson.‘ For those that are interested here is a link to the shows Website The show has already been taken up by German TV and we can only hope that we will see it over here on ‘Free to View’ as well. Antony Copsey and Robert Rozanski are Joint Winners of Class 2 Trio No.47 with a score of 3/4  – both players are promoted to Class and share the BCCA Candidate Master Points with 2 each – well played.

Congratulations to Martin Hardwick who has won Class 1 Trio No.96 with a score of 3.5/4. Martin has been awarded 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points and promoted to Class 2 – well played

Class 1 Trio No.102 – Congratulations to New Member, Richard Akrill on his second Class 1 win. Richard is already playing in Class 2 and receives a further 2 BCCA Candidate Master points.

New Member, Richard Tillett has won his first Class 1 Trio No.111 with a perfect score of 4/4 – very well played. Richard is now promoted to Class 2 and awarded 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points to start his campaign.

Despite Monika Gergelova’s time defaults in Class 1 Trio No.109, Roger Pearce was ahead in both games and would have won the Trio had play continued, he is therefore promoted to Class 2 and awarded 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points to start his campaign.

Well played to our Match Captain, Russell Sherwood on winning Class 2 Trio No,50 with a score of 3/4 in a close fought match against Dennis Broadway and Bill Lindberg. Russell is awarded 4 BCCA Candidate Master Points and promoted to Class 3.

Congratulations to, New Member, Edward Burke  who has won Class 1 Trio No.106 with a perfect score of 4/4 despite the ‘Time Default’ by Devin Dingler, Edward was well ahead in the game concerned and would have won if play had continued. He is promoted to Class 2 and awarded 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points

Congratulations to Jim Fox who wins the Class 1 Trio No. 104 by SB Score from David Woodruff. Jim has been awarded 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points and promoted to Class 2.

Congratulations to Gary Maguire who notches up his 3rd Class 2 Tournament win with a score of 3.5/4 in BCCA/C2/Tr43 against Allan Gardner and Steven Woodhouse – Gary is awarded a further 4 BCCA Candidate Master Points which brings his total to 14.

Class 1 Trio No.100 – Congratulations to Paul Clarke on his first Class 1 win with a perfect score of 4/4 – very well played. Paul is now promoted to Class 2 and has been awarded 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points.

Mike Richardt has won Class 2 Trio No. 41 with a perfect score of 4/4 – well played, Mike has been awarded another 4 BCCA Candidate Master Points in his title quest.

Congratulations to Trevor Carr who has won Class 3 Trio No.15 with a clean sweep of 4/4 against Dawn Williamson and Ben Wood. Trevor has been awarded 3 sought after BCCA Master Points – well played.

Congratulations to Dennis Broadway on his first Class 3 Trio win with a score 3/4 in BCCA/C3/Tr22  against Raymond Burridge and Neil Jefferson. Dennis is awarded 3 BCCA Master Points to start his campaign for the title. Dennis already holds the BCCA Candidate Master Title.

Webserver Trio’s – May Update

Congratulations to Raymond Burridge on winning Class 3 Trio  No.19 with a score of 3/4, Raymond is awarded 3 BCCA Master Points to start his campaign for the coveted Master Title.

Congratulations to Gary Maguire on his first Class 3 Trio win with a near perfect score of 3.5/4 in BCCA/C3/Tr16. Gary has been awarded 3 BCCA Master Points which kicks off his campaign for the BCCA Master Title.

Eoin Campbell has won Class 2 Trio No.49 with a score of 3.5/4 against Robert Bruce and David Woodruff. Eoin has been awarded 4 valuable BCCA Candidate Master Points and has been promoted to Class 3 – very well played.

Membership Renewal

Membership renewal is now open for the 2015/16 season on the website. Look out for the new ‘Free to Enter’ Rapid Play Cup which is on the renewal form. Pay your membership fee and make your choice of seasonal tournaments on the payment page. Don’t delay do it today. New Members are also welcome at anytime.

Webserver Trio’s – April Update

Congratulations to new member William Lindberg on winning two Class 1 Trio No.103 & 105 with a scores of 3/4 & 4/4 – William is now playing in Class 2 and has been awarded 4 BCCA Candidate Master Points.

Class 3 Trio No.21 resulted in a 3 way draw. Andrew Dearnley, Mark Eldridge & John Brasier have joined a select group as this is only the 3rd time this has happened out of 180 Trio’s. All three players have received 1 BCCA Master Point.

Dr Mark Wilson has won Class 3 Trio No.11 with a score of 3/4 and is awarded 3 sort after BCCA Master Points to start his campaign to achieve the coveted title.

Congratulations to new member Richard Akrill on winning Class 1 Trio No.101 with a score of 3/4 – Richard is promoted to Class 2 and awarded 2 BCCA Candidate Master Points to start his campaign – well played.
