Season Three of this 4-player Team Tournament will get underway in June. BCCA entered six teams last season & I am hopeful we can do the same or better this time around. Would you like to play?
The BWSTT is a 4-player Team tournament where each player will probably play 6 games each (7 teams per Division). In effect, it is a mini version of the ICCF Champions League. 10 moves in 40 days: Playing time 18 months. Webserver. Start Date 15 June 2015. Last Date for Entries to me May 20, 2015.
At least two members of each team must be British, but the other team members can be from anywhere so our overseas members can play!
FREE! BCCA are fully funding the entry fee for each team (£20 per team) so it will be no cost to individual members. All that we ask is that you represent the BCCA in the best possible manner, maintain your membership throughout the term of the tournament, and do not default any games.
Anyone wishing to play should contact Neil Limbert as soon as possible.
Colin Beveridge & Arthur Reed are the latest members to earn the BCCA Candidate Master Title. Colin won the BCCA 2014 WS Silver Medal tournament No.1 earning him 10 CM points taking his total to 22. Arthur earned 3rd place in the same tournament earning him 2 CM points. Having been stuck on 19 points for a while, this just shows how important it is to keep pushing for minor placings. Congratulations to both players! The final crosstable for this event:- https://www.iccf.com/event?id=42107
Although the BCCA no longer holds a Best Game competition, BCCA English members are allowed to submit games to the EFCC (English Federation for CC) Best Games competition. See the EFCC website News item of February 10 for full details.

It is now possible to have your photograph on your ICCF profile page. Any BCCA player can now send a JPEG picture of at least 200 x 200 pixels to their ‘National Delegate’ together with their ICCF ID. It will then be uploaded to your ICCF profile. This is a nice new feature and we would encourage our members to consider personalising their profile in this way. Players CANNOT upload their own photograph, it has to be actioned by your ICCF delegate.
