All games have now been finished in the John Allain Memorial All-Play-All Grand Final.
Congratulations to Tony Cannon who wins the Wolfers Medal! Edmund Foulds finished 2nd & wins £15.
I would like to thank you all for taking part – this very strong Final was an excellent tribute to the late John Allain.

Congratulations to Colin Glanville on winning his first Class 1 Trio. Colin wins two BCCA Candidate Master Points and promotion to Class 2. The cross table can be seen here
There have been a batch of results in this popular tournament and we now have 10 Players promoted to Class 2. Well done to all concerned and it is especially pleasing to see that 9 players are completing in 3 Class 2 Trio’s – who will be the first to achieve Class 3? – time will tell. The introduction of Medal tournaments in early 2011 was a great success! It seems there are many players who would prefer to play for a permanent memento of their triumph, rather than play for cash, which disappears all too quickly. Also, the timing of the tournament proved popular, giving members something new to start halfway through the traditional season.

The 2012 Championship Final is now under way, comprising 15 players, 10 of whom are BCCA members including the 2011 Champion Julian Corfield who is defending his title.
