The 6th and last Webserver final is finely balanced with 17 games left and 6 players still in contention. Anthony Balshaw is fighting hard to make it a hat trick of wins but the competition is fierce. Check out the latest position here

Neil Limbert and I have been working to develop a download facility for completed BCCA tournaments, a number of members have asked about this and we are pleased to announce that we can now make them available in PGN & Chessbase (Archive) formats. the idea is to make them available as separate databases once a quarter and then combine them in to one archive database at the end of each year.
The first two are the ‘Armitage Memorial Tournament’ which consists of 94 games, many of which have been annotated, played between 2008 & 2010

We hope this new facility we prove interesting and useful. It is always good to get a feel for a new opponents style of play and as the database develops it should be a good reference source in the future.
Congratulations to David on being the first winner of a Class 2 Trio, David is now waiting for two more players to qualify so that we can get the first Class 3 Trio underway. The tournament is going from strength to strength and seems to have been well received.
David Cook is the winner of Class 1 Trio 15 (BCCA/C1/TR/15) and is promoted to Class 2. David drew with Guy Whitehouse on 3/4 with equal SB scores, Guy however is just starting some county matches so asked that David go through. For full details of all Trio Winners go to the Results Page
Many thanks to Neil Limbert (BCCA magazine Editor) who has produced a brief history of BCCA for the website which is now available to view on the ‘About Us‘ page and via this link It makes an excellent read and provides useful background to the club – especially for new members.
There have been a batch of results in this popular tournament and we now have 10 Players promoted to Class 2. Well done to all concerned and it is especially pleasing to see that 9 players are completing in 3 Class 2 Trio’s – who will be the first to achieve Class 3? – time will tell. For details on individual winners see the Results Page
