What titles are available?
The EFCC is offering three titles:
English Senior Master title (ESM)
English Master title (EM)
English Candidate Master title (ECM)
What are the criteria for being awarded one of these titles?
To be awarded the English Senior Master title (ESM) a player must play under the flag of England, and meet one or more of the following criteria:
Attaining the ICCF GM or SIM title.
Winner of the English Correspondence Chess Championship (ECCC) with a positive score.
A published ICCF rating of 2400 or above in two successive ICCF rating lists based upon a minimum of 30 ICCF rated games.
Eligible players who obtain 40 or more EFCC Master Points in events as specified in the paper “Allocation Of EFCC Master Points” after obtaining the EFCC Master title for all EFCC tournaments.
The award of the title is subject to ratification by the EFCC Executive Committee. In exceptional circumstances the EFCC Executive Committee may also award the title to a player it considers is worthy of this title but who has not met the above criteria.
To be awarded the English Master title (EM) a player must play under the flag of England, and meet one or more of the following criteria:
Attaining the ICCF IM or CCM title.
Second or third place in English Correspondence Chess Championship (ECCC) with a positive score.
Winner of the English Veterans Correspondence Chess Championship (EVCCC) with a positive score.
A published ICCF rating of 2300 or above in two successive ICCF rating lists based upon a minimum of 30 ICCF rated games.
Eligible players who obtain 20 or more EFCC Master Points in events as specified in the paper “Allocation Of EFCC Master Points” for all EFCC tournaments.
The award of the title is subject to ratification by the EFCC Executive Committee. In exceptional circumstances the EFCC Executive Committee may also award the title to a player it considers is worthy of this title but who has not met the above criteria.

Attaining the ICCF CCE title.
Second place in the English Veterans Correspondence Chess Championship (EVCCC) with a positive score.
A published ICCF rating of 2250 or above in two successive ICCF rating lists based upon a minimum of 30 ICCF rated games.
Eligible players who obtain 20 or more EFCC Candidate Master Points in events as specified in the paper “Allocation Of EFCC Master Points” for all EFCC tournaments.
The award of the title is subject to ratification by the EFCC Executive Committee. In exceptional circumstances the EFCC Executive Committee may also award the title to a player it considers is worthy of this title but who has not met the above criteria.
