EFCC CONTINUOUS TOURNAMENT RULES

1. The tournament will follow all ICCF rules, but there are no title norms available.

2. Entry is open to all English flagged players and players who are able (in the case of new players) to be registered to play under the England flag in the ICCF. The EFCC reserves the right to decline an entry or entries without stating a reason or entering into any further correspondence.

3. The entry fee is £4 per preliminary group entered, and there is no additional entry fee for a semi-final or final. Players may enter as many preliminary sections as they wish. Play will start as soon as a preliminary group is filled.

4. There will be three sections:

  • Preliminary groups of four players (double round all play all)
  • Semi Final Groups of six players (double round all play all)
  • Final groups of nine players (single round all play all)
  • 5. The ICCF Triple Block time control will be used in all sections, with 350 days in the Preliminary and Semi Final Sections, and 550 days in a final.

    6. Sections will be formed continuously with no seeding.

    7. All players will start in a preliminary section.

    8. Winners of each section (with a plus score) will proceed to the next higher section.

    9. Winners will be determined using all ICCF tie breaks (where there is a multiple tie after all tie breaks have been applied all players will qualify subject to having a plus score).

    10. There will be a prize fund as follows: Winner of a preliminary section £10. Winner of a Semi Final section £25. Winner of a final £200, second place £100, third place £50.
